3 Questions the Perfect Elevator Pitch Answers

When you are looking for a job, your "elevator pitch" is about your employment and must be distilled down to the essentials.

The perfect elevator pitch answers 3 questions:

1. Who are you?

2. What do you want?

3. Can you help me?

It could look something like this......

"Hi, I'm Bella Smith a junior at USC Cinema School and I'm looking for a summer internship in TV. Can you direct me to the person hiring?

Don't get tripped up in fancy language or bogged down with extraneous information. You want as much information packed into the least amount of words. In fact, practice it the next time you are in an elevator to make sure. If you can't get our your full request out in the amount of time it takes to go between floors, you need an edit.
